To keep track and know contents of these file the user can usually open and read the log file using a word processor or a text processor.
This doesn't allow you to know immediately what's happening in real time because is required to open the entire file taking different seconds and every time the log is updated by the server is necessary to update manually the view reopening the file from disk.
Using log watcher just start the program and if you instructed it previously in the preference dialog... you have finished.
Otherwise open your logs files and select the appropriate action.
Log watcher keeps track of your log file (one or more) showing them in a separate window for each one, updating them at the time interval you selected for each one (usually 10 / 120 secs) and it doesn't matter if the files are some megabyte because you can choose to show only the last few Kb requiring to read them just a fraction of secs.
If you want to show a large part or all of your log file, no problem, Log watcher uses the total RAM memory of your file (not its mem partition) to display it.
